Developing the discipline and motivation to develop this lifestyle required a significant investment of time and navigating through numerous internal struggles regarding the decision to exercise and choose healthier habits for long term benefits.
I aim to be mindful of my morning mood and treat myself with kindness. By speaking to myself in a positive manner and avoiding self judgment, I start with a 5 minute warm up. While I allow myself to stop if needed, it’s not something that I do frequently and can persist through it more effortlessly.
I have learned that tackling the tasks that you don’t like early in the morning can help you achieve your goals and also unlock some amazing benefits that can be obtained and enjoyed.
Why I chose to become vegan...
I had contemplated transitioning to a vegan lifestyle for some time before making the decision to look deeper into this way of life. In 2017, I began immersing myself in numerous videos that depicted the severe cruelty inflicted on defenceless animals, regardless of whether they were adults or babies. Witnessing these horrific acts reinforced my decision that I could no longer be complicit in the mistreatment of any living being. Moreover, I realized that animal products were not essential for my well being and survival.
Embracing a vegan lifestyle entails more than just dietary sources. It also involves being mindful of various products such as clothing, shoes and furniture that should be free from materials like leather, silk or wool, opting instead for substitutes like Pu (Polyurethane) leather, organic cotton, hemp and bamboo. Additionally, it is important to scrutinize makeup and toiletries to ensure that they align with vegan principles.
